While I've sat here for a few days thinking of topics I could post on here, being a new blogger and all, our three year old provided the perfect one tonight. (it's 12:15 am as I type this out....). We were up late with our eleven year old, tucking her in, made sure she was comfortable, and had a couple of lasts laughs before sleep. Well, our three year old walked in, and said she didn't feel well, her tummy hurt. So she snuggled up on me on our leather computer chair for about two or three minutes, and then BOOM. SHE PUKED! I continued to hold her as she tried to escape the fountain coming from her mouth. I really didn't want her to become a human sprinkler in her sister's bedroom at 11:00 pm. Mom grabbed her from me and put her on the hard vinyl floor to make for an easier clean up.
So here I stood, half covered in puke from Mom's homemade chili; (which was really good by the way). Mom is standing over/to the side of our three year old as she finishes up vomiting. We both stripped down, tossed our puke clothes to the side, and headed for the showers. She immediately felt better, so I think we're clear of a stomach bug. Fingers crossed.
Somehow at the end of this adventure, we end up with said three year old cuddled up in the living room, sleeping bag and all, watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. We'll see what the night holds. I have to be up and somewhat productive tomorrow, as I am volunteering with The American Legion Post 18's fireworks booth this year. So, here's to sleeping through the night.

P.S. BTW, Happy Birthday America.
